Musical Rehearsal Cancelled Today

Due to plumbing problems at the school, the freezing cold, and a number of people out sick (including me), we are cancelling ALL of today's rehearsals for Bye, Bye, Birdie.  I will be changing next week's schedule to accommodate the change.

Note that I am having problems with my Remind account, so please help spread the word!

Bye, Bye, Birdie Cast is Announced!

I know it's later than I planned -- my surgery took more out of me than I thought it would -- but casting results for "Bye, Bye, Birdie" are up. Click on the tab above to see in what part(s) you have been cast.

I am still working on the Rehearsal Schedule and will post that by Tuesday, January 5. If you are participating in the musical and have additional conflicts, please get those to me ASAP so I can make any necessary adjustments. If you already gave me your conflicts, those are already considered excused absences. Please let me know of any new conflicts as soon as you know about them!

Our first meeting is THIS THURSDAY, January 7, 2016, right after school from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. All cast members must be present! We will go over contracts and the rehearsal schedule and you will need to sign up to be on one of our committees for the show: Set (note that every cast member is expected to spend a minimum of 10 hours working on the set), Properties, Make-Up, Costumes, and Publicity. You will also receive a copy of the script with music. Musical and blocking (staging) rehearsals begin Monday, January 11.

Students who are interested in playing in the orchestra should contact Mr. Condo, who will be conducting. We need the following instruments:  3 Violins, 2 Cellos, 1 Bass, Alto Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute & Piccolo, Bass Clarinet, Baritone Saxophone, Horn, 3 Trumpets, 2 Trombones, 2 Percussion players, Guitar, and Electric Bass. Jill Drewyor will be our performance accompanist.

We have a great cast, and this is going to be such a fun show! Thanks to everyone who auditioned, and I am looking forward to getting started on the production.
