Auditions for speaking parts for Ye Olde Madrigal Feaste will be held after school from 3-4:30 pm on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in the High School Choir Room. Auditions are open to all Unioto High School and Junior High students -- you do not have to be in the choral program to participate!
Ye Olde Madrigal Feaste is a re-enactment of an old English king's feast, and includes a play, dinner and a concert. These auditions are for actors for the play; there is no singing required. Interested actors should be comfortable speaking in a British accent (or broken English as required). Students may pick up sides (excerpts from the script) to prepare for the audition no later than Monday, August 22. PLEASE TAKE TIME TO PREPARE! Students will be reading with others during the audition, so plan to stay for the entire hour and a half. You must present your British or broken English accent at the audition. Please arrive a few minutes early to fill out an audition form and bring a list of any conflicts during the rehearsal period with you.
Students who are cast will be required to attend after school rehearsals on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6 pm during September, October and November. Students may or may not be called for every rehearsal. Ms. Snyder will do her best to schedule around occasional student conflicts. Please do not audition if you will not be available during most of the times mentioned.
The show will take place on Friday and Saturday, November 18 and 19 from 6 pm to approximately 9 pm. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Snyder.
