Unioto Pops Solo Auditions

As we do every year, we will be having auditions in early to mid-January for solo artists for our January 31st concert. Soloists will be selected based on talent, vocal ability, style, charisma and preparedness.  Preference for soloists will be given to students who have not previously performed a solo on a Pops concert.  I will be selecting 3 or 4 solo songs and students to perform in the ensembles for "Jesus at the Wheel" and "Walkin' After Midnight."

You do not have to memorize the song for the audition, but it must be solidly prepared and professionally presented.  Remember -- I can always tell when you have not properly prepared!  If you can't be dedicated enough to prepare for the audition, how do I know that you will care enough about the performance to be fully prepared?

Please select one of the following songs to prepare for your audition.  Find a good karaoke on youtube.com to use for your audition.  You must audition with the karaoke.  If it's not in the right key, I can help you transpose it -- just ask!
